Bárbara Tinoco Live at Super Bock Arena, Porto - Review

On Saturday night, March 7, Bárbara Tinoco brought the show that previously filled Lisbon’s MEO Arena to the North of Portugal, taking over Super Bock Arena, in Porto, for an emotional yet energetic night.

From the first songs, it was clear the audience knew every word. The crowd moved between excitement and emotion, with tears appearing during the sadder songs. It’s clear that Bárbara’s lyrics and melodies  are special to her fans.

The production stood out as one of the most creative elements of the show. The stage design felt on brand with Bárbara’s image, from floral scenery to a piano filled with water. Her outfits complemented the aesthetic, creating a visual narrative that matched the tone of the performance.

The concert also included several memorable moments. Before performing “Despedida de Solteira”, Bárbara helped a couple in the crowd get engaged. Throughout the night, she was joined by several guests: Mari Froes and Papillon, as well as two surprise appearances, one from her partner, Feodor Bivol, and the other from singer Rosinha. One particularly funny moment came when the artist took time to explain to the mothers in the audience why she wrote a song called “Devia Ter-te Traído” (I should have cheated on you). She clarified that the title is pure irony, a playful reflection on a “casting error” of a relationship and the regret of staying “too loyal” to someone who wasn’t worth it

One of the highlights of the show was when the singer returned to her beginnings, performing “Jolene”, the song she sang in her blind audition for The Voice Portugal - a moment that reminded the crowd of how far she has come. Shortly after, Bárbara performed “Antes Dela Dizer que Sim”, the song that launched her career. The night ended on a joyful high with “Deixou-me a mala no comboio”, performed with Rosinha. By that point, the entire arena was dancing and singing along.

From the energy of the crowd to the connection between Bárbara, her band, and the backing vocalists, the concert felt like a celebration of her journey so far. Moving through different moments of her career, it was a reminder of why the artist has become one of the most loved voices in Portuguese pop music.
